About Pluin
Pluin Productions is a new-born independent film company launched in the Land of the Rising Sun, Japan, during the spring of 2008 by Ital-Argentine Deaf film director Emilio Insolera.
Pluin Productions’ passions are:
- producing avant-garde indie movies in Sign Language;
- balancing the entertainment output with an intellectually stimulating approach in movies;
- introducing anthropological and linguistic ideologies of post-representation of the deaf;
- developing an energetic spirit of global interconnection between countries.
These objectives, along with our endeavor to entertain as well as reach out and trigger discourse, are the identity of the Pluin Productions.
