Emilio Insolera / エミリオ・インソレラ
Producer / Director / Writer
Mr. Insolera, 29 years old, Deaf, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina by Deaf family, Italian father and Argentine mother, moved to Italy at age 11. Philosopher, sociologist and linguist by heart, received the Fulbright-Wirth scholarship 1999-2000, completed his B.A. in Film with minor in Linguistics at Gallaudet University (USA) in 2003 and his M.A. in Mass Communication at University of Rome, La Sapienza (Italy) in 2007 with a Summa Cum Laude. To sum up his working experience, related to the media area, between New York City and Rome, Mr. Insolera freelanced as photographer & coordinator to production for some notable companies from MTV, Time Out New York magazine, ELLE Girl magazine to RAINet, Telelazio, LISMedia and Mason Perkins Deafness Fund. Currently, he lives temporarily in Osaka, Japan.
Danny Gong / ダニー・ゴング
Casting Director / Fight Choreographer
Mr. Gong, 28 years old, CODA (Children of Deaf Adults) is a Chinese American, born and raised in New York City. ASL and English are his native languages. After graduating from the State University of New York Purchase College in 2002, Mr. Gong attended an Interpreter Training Project at La Guardia Community College and received his Certificate in ASL interpretation in 2004. In 2004, Mr. Gong moved to Osaka, Japan and founded Deaf Japan an organization that provides American Sign Language Courses in the Kansai area. Today, he works as an ASL instructor for Deaf Japan and for Nagoya University of Foreign Studies.
Hiroshi Vava / 馬場 博史

Mr. Vava, 32 years old, Deaf, born in Wakayama, Japan, by Deaf family, is a worldwide traveller. Exploring and understanding with his own eyes Third World countries, dark angles and especially the everyday life of gangsters were in his utmost interest. To name a country out of many, Brazil, for example: he lived there for one year, and didn’t miss out to stay in City of God for several months. For those who do not understand what the city is like, check out one of Insolera’s favorite movies “Cidade de Deus” [Eng. City of God] (2002) by Fernando Meirelles. Currently, Mr. Vava lives in Osaka, Japan.
